Word 2016 will not open or save any documents using files stored in OneDrive. It hangs up and can only be fold up using Mission Manager. I can open and save documents that are stored on my hard drive, it seems to be only when function with OneDrive documents,
though in other applications I can open and happen as expected on OneDrive documents without issue. There does not seem to be any syncing issues. The problem persists in Safe Mode. It has been a patchy problem for about the last 10 days that I had been able to fix with
a reboot, but now it is no longer exploitable at all and reboots have no effect. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. I have scoured the cooperation community and have tried most everything suggested but nothing is making a difference.
I have tried the following:
Both the online and quick fix repair features for Office 365
I have removed all add-ins (There were no add-ins enabled.)
Updated my Nividia drivers and made sure all Office applications and One Drive are up to date.
Cleared download cache
I have multiple errors in my event watcher. Focusing on only the ones in the last hour, the application errors are all OneDrive and OneSyncSvc., application hangs are all Winword, the Microsoft Office error is a licensing exception, and the DistributedCom
errors are all “application known factor permission settings do not grant Local Activation permissions for the COM maitre d’ application with CLSID.” If needed I can provide more details on these. Not sure what information you may or may not need. Thank you so
