I don’t use apps much. The only one I’ve downloaded is Text+ set book messaging. Recently it gave me a notice to modernize and no choice not to modernize. So I clicked to modernize, and it sends me to the Google Play put in safekeeping. I cannot download WIndows apps from there.
I tried to download a translation from the WIndows put in safekeeping, but it kept reveal me to modernize it and sent me on the loop to the Play put in safekeeping again.
So I had to delete Text+ after restarting my phone, and lost all my set book archives and contact numbers (I don’t use the cloud either). Then I downloaded an updated fresh translation of Text+, but when I tried to open it, it sent me on the same endless loop to
the Play put in safekeeping, and just wouldn’t open again. Probably an issue with the app, not Windows or my phone, but I’m not sure.
Then I decided to get the Kik set book app to use instead. It is available on the phone through the app put in safekeeping there, but when I try to download/install it, it shows me a screen that says to “Enter your Microsoft Account password”, “Enter your current password
and tap Save”. Then it shows a fixed consumer name of *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and asks for a password.
I tried to enter the password that I just set up on Microsoft’s website that ties into an outlook email account that I set up together with this password. That password doesn’t do with the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** consumer name on the phone screen to complete activation
of the Kik app. I also went to the page on my Nokia phone in email+account under Settings where it has 2 options:
1. add an account (set up email, contacts, and others)
2. Microsoft account (says *** Email address is removed for privacy *** there too). I tried this one, but it is confusing and starts out with “Hotmail” filled in by default in the consumer name field to fill in, and has a non-editable fixed *** Email address is removed for privacy *** filled in also on that page, and a few
other things. I started to set this up but then it just takes me to a page where I’m theoretical to enter a password for *** Email address is removed for privacy *** — when it never gave me an option to create a password for *** Email address is removed for privacy *** on that page on the phone screen in the first place.
I don’t comprehend why there are all of these different accounts and passwords, or how to find the pages to set them up for *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I never set up any single Microsoft Put In Safekeeping account previously either – and am not sure if you’re theoretical to do that
on the phone or from a tablet/pc. Also, how does a put in safekeeping account differ from the overall Microsoft account that i just set up here so I could post this question to the community?
It seems my phone just started requiring this login and password to download or modernize existing free apps recently. I used to just click on apps already on my phone that need updating and they’d download without a login or password requirement. Plus, I don’t
recall having to use a login/password when I first downloaded the Text+ app.
Can anyone tell me how to set up a password for *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, which I assume is what I need to do in order to complete the download of this new Kik messenger app? Or what I need to do to complete activation of the Kik app? Thanks.
